1st Period

Main Cooking $40

Taught by Toni Crosby

Description: 

This class will focus on cooking everyday family meals. We'll cover sheet pan dinners, casseroles, meat, and potatoes as well as soups and sides. By the end of class, you'll be able to turn one whole chicken into three different meals. There will be occasional light homework such as making a menu and basic budgeting.

Advanced Lego- Famous Landmarks

Taught by Dani Weber

Description:

In this class, the students will study world famous landmarks, architectural structures, and different types of architectural designs. The students will be able to vote on which landmarks we will learn about each week and what type of structures they want to build. (Each student will need to have at least 4 base plates that they can build on. The Legos will be community Legos, and therfore there will be no cost besides the cost of the base plates)

Description:

Focus on physical fitness, health, and movement skills, aimed at fostering lifelong healthy habits. It involves various activities-- team sports and personal fitness-- to improve mental and physical wellbeing. Class involves participating in structured exercise routines.

 

2nd Period

Board Games

Description:

Board Games A time to play board games with friends. Cost: Free, Student rotation on bringing a games
 
Drama/ Theater for Middle- High school $15
Taught by Mary Elmore
Description:
In this class students will present a play by the end of the semester. Play can be chosen and adapt from any Shakespeare plays. Students will need to practice every week their roles, prepare their customs and stage.
 

Jewelry Making $30

6th-12th grade

Description:

Students will create their own jewelry while learning the history of jewelry.

 

 

 

 

Spring 2027 Classes

1st Period

Video Editing 

Taught By Kim Sharp

Description: 

In this fun and interactive beginner class, kids will learn the basics of video editing and storytelling. Designed for young creators with little to no experience, this course introduces students to simple editing tools, creative techniques, and the art of turning raw footage into exciting videos.
Students will explore how to trim clips, add music, insert transitions, and include text or special effects. Along the way, they’ll also learn how to plan a video, tell a story, and express their creativity through digital media. Each session includes hands-on activities, guided projects, and opportunities to share their work.

*Laptop will be needed for this class

 

Sports History $10

6th-12th grade

Description:

We will travel through the history of where and how each sport began. A different student will be responsible for presenting information on a specific sport each week starting week 3, as they give an oral presentation to the class. We will briefly learn about rules and uncommon facts aboutt each sport each week as well.

We will work on skills, drills, rules, teamwork, responsibility
Supplies - workout clothes, SPORTS BRAS, volleyball, knee pads (we will be outside)
