We will learn and play old school playground games like Four Corners, hopscotch, jump rope, dodgeball, etc.

Simple Lego Machines $10

Description:
We will explore various STEAM concepts (wheels, axles, levers, bridges, ramps, etc.) using LEGOs
Supplies: Additional Legos plus specific Lego parts (axles, levers, etc )
2nd Period
Storytime Chef $15
Taught by Karen Wong
Description:
We will read a book each week using E.B. White Read-Aloud Honor recipient author Jory John's Food Group series (The Good Egg, The Bad Seed, The Smart Cookie, The Humble Pie, etc). Each week, students will learn and practice basic cooking skills and make a themed recipe inspired by the book of the week.
STEAM Science $20
Taught by Chelsey Petrishen
Steam classes, making thinks kids can use, bird houses, bird feeders, mini green houses, butterfly feeders, seasonal crafts etc.
Spring 2027 Classes
1st Period
LIBERTY’S KIDS $5
Taught by Mary Kemp
We will be watching the Liberty’s Kids videos and talking a bit about the American Revolution. A class to learn some basic information regarding the foundation of our country, in a fun story. Each week we will watch two episodes and have a bit of discussion about them and answer some questions. We will do a brief activity, but not in all of the classes.
Class Goal: We will work through half of the 40 Liberty’s Kids episodes and have a basic knowledge of the American Revolution and some of the key points.
Weather Science

Description:
The Water Cycle: Evaporation, condensation, precipitation.
Clouds & Atmosphere: Types of clouds, air pressure, wind.
Weather Tools: Thermometers, barometers, rain gauges.
Types of Weather & Extreme Weather: Rain, snow, tornadoes, hurricanes.
Weather vs. Climate: Understanding daily changes vs. long-term patterns.

2nd Period
Human Body $15

Description:
We will learn about a different body system each week through activities and hands-on experiments. We will learn about the skeleton, muscles, brain and nervous system, vision, hearing, skin hair and nails, digestive system, heart and circulation, lungs and respiratory system, immune system, sense of smell, sense of taste.
Insects $5

Description:
Let's explore the amazing world of insects! In this class we will discover a new insect each week and learn what makes it special. From butterflies that transform completely, to bees that help our planet, to fireflies that glow in the dark. Every insect has its own “superpower” waiting to be uncovered. We will have a read-aloud story, simple science concepts about habitats and behaviors, and we will do a creative craft to bring home.
