In this class we will be using Evan-Moor History Pocket to learn about this unit of study while creating a wonderful resource booklet to refer back to and showcase all you have learned!

Supplies needed for class will be 12x18 construction paper, double-sided tape, colored pencils, crayons or markers, printer paper for reproducing pages, cardstock, hole punch

 

Coding 3-Python $10

Taught by Kim Sharp

Description:

This class will build on the coding skills we have learned previous. We will learn how to type lines of code and build scripts. My hope is that each student will create their own project using their own code knowledge. Kids will need to know how to spell and write in order to do code lines. Laptop with ability to access the internet is needed. If this is a hardship for your family please contact Kim Sharp and she will work with you on a device.

 

2nd Period

Tuttle Twins save the World $10

Description:

In this introduction to the core principles of liberty, free markets, individualism and limited government, we will read one of the Tuttle Twins books each week, work through the workbooks provided to accompany the books, discuss the books and ideas they were based on and even watch short videos as time allows. Workbooks for each of the books will be printed so activities can be done in class and taken home for family discussion, if wanted.

Description: 

A time to play board games with friends.
Student rotation on bringing a games.

 

2nd Period

Animal Science

Taught By Chelsey Petrishen

Description: 

We will focus on the biology, management, and the care of domestic, livestock, and some companion & service animals. We will do short studies on particular animal groups. I would like to give the class some input on areas they would like to focus on. For instance, if there is an interest in veterinary science, we could focus on that for a week or two. I would also like to possibly invite guest speakers (a vet tech, someone who works for animal rescue, animal shelters, horse riding instructor, etc) to a few of our classes so the students can learn about specifice animals or careers that involve animals.
